There is always more to be done

I have been working at Oxford Public School for four years now. Exciting work, challenging projects, motivating atmosphere is what has made me come this far. It feels great to be constantly moving forward in a fast-paced work atmosphere, surrounded by smart peers and brilliant people. Those who are a part of Oxford family have a passion for what they are doing. I’m thankful that the school management has given all of us a wonderful chance to express ourselves by blogging. And I would like to thank Ma’am (Principal Ma’am) for always motivating me and helping me re-invent myself. A big thanks to the whole team for showering their love and making me feel as if I’m at my second home, away from home.  Since the new session is about to begin and the staff is all set to take on all the challenges head on, I would like to share something motivational.  Yes, motivational as after reading this you will feel highly motivated and you’ll never face any issue at your work, never ever. Wait a se

Let's be a child again

A child, who is a new spring A child, who is full of energy A child, who has desires A child, who has immense love. Life is not a game to tame, It is to feel the pleasure Life is to do silly acts, Add to regret them. Life is to appreciate what you have, It is to cherish the beauty you have. Life is to love the people around you, Not to question the relationships with you. Life is to accept the reality. It is to express heartily. Life is to live the moment, to be around the people you love, to keep your heart out, to enjoy the beautiful time, to plead, to regret........ Life is too short to be spent in ignorance and hatred. Life is just to love and spread love..... Priya Mundra Educator, Oxford Public School

The Ethical Values for the Teaching Profession

I have been in teaching profession from the last 20 years and it gives me immense pleasure to be a part of Oxford family for last 16 years. i have learnt a lot during these years and for benefit of my younger/new colleagues, I would like to share some ethical values which are integral to the job of an educator. Care, trust, respect, integrity are all imperative to a good educator but what makes an educator exceptional is his/her commitment. Yes, it is your commitment that underlines all your efforts and achievements. It is your commitment that defines you. It is your commitment, not only towards your subject and students, but also towards the institution where you are working, that helps bring out the best in you. When you are committed to your institution and your work, your efforts will produce tremendous results. You will be successful in your classroom and extremely satisfied personally. Keeping yourself, your students and your colleagues motivated, shows your commitment. We

Thank You Note For My Beloved Principal Ma'am

You never really know someone until you understand things from their perspective; until you get into their shoes and walk around in them.  I have been very fortunate to join Oxford Public School, first as a student and then as a teacher. When I was a student, though I loved my school immensely, there were a few things I could not understand. But today, being the part of Oxford as an educator, I have understood what all this institution has been doing for 25 years now; especially principal ma'am.  Ma'am, you have helped us to open our eyes to the world, you gave us curiosity and confidence, you taught us to ask questions, you connected us to our past and future, you have never been less than a super star. You are the one who has shaped many students' lives, you are the one because of whom Oxford shines. You allowed us to be the best we could be. You touch the life of every student and make sure it is set on a constructive path. You have changed so many lives an

I Will Be There For You

Well, it’s okay, you might curse; Or maybe something even worse; Well, it's okay you might not feel; And you may not see me wounded back and heal; But I will carry your future in my arms for you; It will be built beautiful till the time I am standing for you. Why don't we be some sort of good friends? Why don't you teach me what's running in your trends? May be then we will be partners building a profit called future, And a beautiful one will be my gift as your teacher. Let us not run away- neither I nor you, And I Promise I will take care to build a better life for you. Priyanshi Educator, Oxford Public School

Make A Difference

My journey as an educator began 25 years ago at this very school- Oxford Public School. Teaching different grades in this awesome journey, I have developed deep appreciation and understanding for this noblest profession. Providing an environment where my students can take risk and experience authentic learning is the cornerstone of my educational philosophy. The connection between student and teacher is everything. All through these years I have been trying to repair self- efficacy of students in different subjects, especially in English. Earning trust of students is the vehicle for making the necessary adjustments to make them believe, in their ability to analyse and create their own masterpieces. 'What is best for our students?' This is the question that twirls around my mind about one hundred times a day. My job as a teacher is to make learning experience engaging, encouraging and inspiring to all learners. I teach with purpose in mind. I want school to be a f

Life's Lessons :)

My time with the Oxford family has been like a life span of a butterfly- short yet very beautiful! Unravelling each and every stage shall take several posts and I myself might not be able to trim my journey into a brief note. How can it be possible when you have so much to express? There were several 'first' experiences for me- be it dancing out in the Dandia Night, the truly colourful celebration of the Holi festival using flower petals or the Secret Santa!!! I came with an empty sac but now its overflowing with lots and lots of beautiful memories, cherish-able experiences, knowledge and lots of love! School is all about learning and growing; where not only the students but teachers learn and grow as well. Being unaware of the protocol and ethics of working in a professional environment, I felt just like a 'Learner', with "L" marked on the wind shield of my car, who is learning to drive. I committed several mistakes and learned from them. And, gradually,

Good Values Can Never Be Replaced

I would like to begin by thanking the management of the school for giving us an opportunity to express our views without any hesitation. I have been on this journey for almost 16 years now and from a teacher I have now turned into an educator. When I look back it really gives me a lot of pleasure and contentment. So many of my students have become successful in their respective careers. I feel proud of them. What worries me is the lack of moral values in today's generation. It is a matter of concern not only for the educators but also for the society and the nation as they are the future of this world. The modern day parenting should think about this aspect very seriously because it is easy to become rich but it is very difficult to become good human beings. Everyday, I keep pondering over the new, innovative and interesting methods by which my students can become good humans and responsible citizens. I am certain that my continuous efforts will lead them to the path of p

Welcome

It gives me immense pleasure to write my first post for the school's blog. I read somewhere that blogging is a conversation and I am eager to converse with all of you. During the school hours, each one of us is busy in our own work - taking classes, counselling kids, checking copies, setting test papers, maintaining records, preparing something or the other for upcoming events and so on. This blog is a wonderful opportunity for all of us belonging to the Oxford family to express our views, share ideas, display our creative side and acknowledge and appreciate each other. I am keeping my post short as it is just to welcome you to your school's blog and encourage you to come up with posts. I will soon be back with a full-fledged write-up. All the best!
