We Can

A Very Happy Birthday (belated) to Oxford Public School! I have been thinking of writing a post for the blog since the day our school started it. So many times, I penned down my thoughts but never found them good enough to be posted. Today, while interacting with my class, a very important point came up which set me thinking. Students told me, "Ma'am, we understand when a teacher tells us that a certain topic is important. But sometimes the explanation becomes so boring that we don't pay attention." At that time, I just told them that it is their mistake that everything that is important and needs explaining becomes boring for them. In retrospection, I realized that somewhere, sometimes, the fault lies in the methodology we teachers adopt. I strongly believe that a teacher is as good as his/her student. Yes, it is difficult to achieve a 100% success rate in the class. There will always be students who'd pay attention no matter what and how you teach. Sim

Learning for life

Life is all about gaining knowledge. I am sure that everyone out there agrees that education is important for us to gain knowledge. But I believe that learning from our own experiences is also equally important. It makes us wise. I have done my bachelor's in computer applications and I had always dreamt of being a part of the corporate world. But God had planned something different for me and so I landed in Oxford Public School for my first job. Since it was not something I had ever wanted, I was not very enthusiastic about my work in the initial days. It took me sometime to realize that my job was not monotonous, it had its own challenges and I could learn a lot from it. This realisation and the love and support of Oxford family made me comfortable and soon I was loving my work. The 3 years that I have worked here have just flown away. I have gained experience, knowledge, wisdom and have created so many wonderful memories. Handing phone calls, managing visitors, coordin

My Students, My Inspiration

Everybody needs a source of motivation in their lives and for me, it's you- my crazy naughty kids. I don't have a perfect life but I have a wonderful life because all of you fill colors in it.  Every day you teach me something new. It is you who taught me to have patience by sitting in the class for hours and listening to every single teacher. It is you who taught me to forget everything even after somebody scolds you. It is you who taught me to enjoy the life to the fullest. It is you who taught me to smile even after crying, to cope up with the stress by being calm even during exams. I am still a learner. You are my boss and I am working for you. I am an ordinary human but it's you who make me feel like a champion when I complete my task and teach you any lesson. Although like every other human being, sometimes I feel upset but as soon as I enter the classroom and see your smiling faces, I forget all my worries. Sometimes while dealing with you, I feel like

Thank you Oxford

Hello everyone! Thank you, school, for providing such a great platform where we can express our feelings. I always wanted to thank my school and express my gratitude towards it and when there is such an amazing opportunity, how can I miss it? OXFORD PUBLIC SCHOOL ---Well, I feel honored and proud to write about our school and get an opportunity to express my gratitude towards my Oxford family. When I write something about oxford simply means I am writing about my life. And I must say  MY LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL  because I am a part of Oxford family.  While writing this my emotions are on a roller coaster ride. I am excited to express whatever was in my heart for long. At the same time, I am sad too because this beautiful journey of learning would soon come to an end.  Classroom chats and banters, friendly teachers, Principal ma'am's science classes, Shallu ma’am reading out paragraphs from history textbooks, Neelam ma'am’s geography lessons, Geeta ma'am&#
